Travel here by car
Käringön is a car-free island. Navigate to the Tuvesvik ferry stop, search for Tuvesvik, Orust. From the south, take exit 90 towards Tjörn, Orust and Stenungsund. From the north, E6 at Torp Köpcentrum, choose 161 towards Orust. Go towards Ellös and follow the signs for Käringön/Gullholmen and Tuvesvik. There are plenty of parking spaces at the ferry. Use the EasyPark app to pay the parking fee.
Travel here with your own boat
Käringön's Gästhamn has 125 berths. The harbor is four meters deep. The hotel does not have its own seats.
Västtrafik's ferry to Käringön
The boat departs from Tuvesvik in Orust and the journey takes approximately 35 minutes. Most tours go via Gullholmen and continue in the "gutter" inside Härmanö. The easiest way to solve a ticket is with the help of Västtrafik's To-Go application. It is also possible to use the Västtrafik card or buy a ticket in the machine at the terminal in Tuvesvik.
Boat taxi
Boat taxis are an efficient way to get out to Käringön. The most common places for pickup are Tuvesvik, Hälleviksstrand and Stocken.

Book weddings and parties
Every year, many brides and grooms get married on Käringön. The white 18th-century church located in the middle of the island can be reserved. It is also possible to arrange a wedding somewhere out in the open. Wedding dinners usually take place at Simson's Restaurant (Pärstgården). We will be happy to help you with accommodation for you and your guests.
Gift cards
Do you want to treat yourself or your loved ones to something to look forward to? Being able to get to the far end of the sea belt and enjoy the sea and the fresh air is reason enough for a visit. The season extends from Easter until December. Now we offer the opportunity to buy gift cards for any amount here on the website.
